The Cour Carrée of the Musée du Louvre was transformed into an old-fashion hotel for Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2011/2012 Fashion Show with models at your service. 


Intrigue, vintage charm and crime novels are the vibes that can be felt in the show, as models arrived in grilled elevators gilded in gold and sauntered down the runway in modern day maid's outfit and bellhop hats, with the occasional cigarette for a dramatic effect.


The accessories do stand out as well and complements really well with the clothes.

Fashion aside, Guan Yeow's chalet was really fun in way. Helping Iffah in making cute little birthday cupcakes (or should I say, French muffins) that painstakingly sap half of a day of our lives in trying to think of designs in making the fondant on top. Actually, I'm not really so much for a help heehee as 90% are done by Iffah the patisserie-maiden. 


Thought it'd be rather awkward since I'm the only one from my semester but the company's been great complemented by the food, baileys, cigarettes, a playground, an xbox, Ugly Dolls, movies and even a mini pseudo getting-to-know-each-other-guy-to-guy-talk with movies like Watchmen and Scary Movie 3 (Daryl gets a kick at almost every scene and laughed to himself lol).


Oh, there's this really great old town deli at White Sands which sells really amazing puffs, pastries and rolls. Bought a beef stew pie which tasted like pork. This propelled Guan Yeow to asked me this: How'd you know it taste like pork if you hadn't taste any?


Tried explaining to him that it's the same like how egg yolk taste like feathers but you don't really eat avian down do you? Oh never mind. Don't think you readers get it either. I don't know how to explain it but I'm sure there's a scientific term for it somewhere; or maybe it's like some sort of thing that's been brain programmed in my brain or instinct or something okay stop.
