As the drum beats rock

Primal melodies and powerful synthesizers encompassed the World Cultural Village in the Youth Olympic Village complete with psychedelic swigs of colour splash illuminating the night sky as the athletes rocked to the pulsating beat of the music.
The noise progressively grows louder and louder until it reaches its ultimatum right about now.
The night life is filled with concerts and performances, and it changes every night so it is fresh and does not get boring by the lack of variety and stagnancy.
Yesterday it was Africa's moment, with a conglomeration of booths of African nations participating in the YOG in the village square. Athletes (and volunteers) can try out the different activities held in the booths and learn more about the culture of the country the booth's representing. Today, it is the Americas and Oceania's turn to shine. Oh, and I saw this guy while exploring the Village earlier who is teaching the athletes a dance and he looked and spoke exactly like Ievan.
And oh god the music makes me feel like joining. My older colleague, probably sensing my yearning to go and get my ass off to the square and join in the fun, told me to go.
Sorely tempted. But I have a job to do.
