XOXO

I totally LOVE my job in the media workroom. We have the air-cons and laptops with internet access, not forgetting the occasionally gorgeous people who came to the workroom for queries. But the best is that we get rumours and gossips firsthand from the reporters and volunteers themselves, who'll ask us whether the rumours spreading around Singapore like SARS is correct. From food poisoning at East Coast (the worst I heard was that they found maggots in the food) to two athletes from Ghana who supposedly ran away from the Village (which is kind of stupid).

And the highlight of the YOV is the "nightlife". At eight you can already hear club music and people dancing. But after the whole rigour of shakin' your booty the athletes are made to watch a movie (I don't bother staying at this point). But to see all of the athletes bond and all regardless of which country they are form (even though there's a claim from Israel that an Iranian athletes pulling out from an event because an Israeli athlete is participating in that event as well), they are all friends in this world.
We are all friends in this world.
