Milos with Dinos

IBP have been really exciting so far. I mean, it suck that we have to report at 9 in the morning and end at 6 every weekday but so far it's been great; from the workshops and projects already streaming in.
The projects so far have been relatively easy; design a logo for Moving Pictures, the M:idea poster or something, name cards (which we had completed fuck yeah efficient right?) and a possible project from IRAS. So exciting.

Here's wishing I could get my hands on those MGMT passes. I mean, I'm not a fan, but at least I listen to them.

Dinosaurs somehow cropped up from between mouthfuls of milo macflurry and sips of watermelon milkshake with Iffah and this tugged the dino-maniac in me. So happy that I could discus about dinosaurs with. Dinosaurs have been my first love; the first thing that I drew when I was young wasn't stickmen, but stick-dinos. In kindergarten, I'd walked with my back hunched and shoulders tensed, folding my thumb and pinkie so the remaining three fingers stick out like claws. I was such a dino-freak. I even drew dinosaurs on small scraps of papers for my friends. Alas, I have no one to share my knowledge with because most of my friends rather play around and dislocating their shoulders while playing monkey bars like the little sapiens that they are.

*I've never once played monkey bars. My mum forbade me from playing and if I did she'd scold me. Regret not being a bitch when I was younger. I guess that's why I have such under-developed arms (excuses, excuses; but really!).

I used to dream of being an archaeologist. Unimaginable wonder and adventure as I trekked through the impenetrable jungles of Africa to the harsh desserts of Central Asia, discovering dinosaur bones and the thrill of finding one. However, expectations does not necessarily equals reality. A documentary and a book on archaeology and palaeontology really burst my bubble of sand-kingdoms in the air. Most of the stuff they did are mundane, like cataloguing pieces of minerals, carbon-dating stuff, and finding an intact skeleton is like finding a plain Pocky stick in a haystack.

So my dinosaur fetish took a back seat, with zoology and botany sparking my interest in science when I was in primary school and then history, geography and current affairs in secondary school with fashion not long after around upper secondary till now. However, I've always been in love with design, especially traditional art forms like painting motifs and abstract shit and DIY stuff.

So fun. But I always find no time to dedicate to my past love.

Another MV, this time by Lenka. Because she's damn cute oh my god such a pretty woman.

I'd love to have those lemons and squeeze them into your eyes.

  1. Chey I thought Lenka did a cover of The XX. I was excited for 5 seconds. But wow, she's adorable.
